Highlights include the beautiful Cathedral with its hidden treasures and spectacular architecture, the Great Hall containing the legendary Authurian Round Table and one of the finest farmers markets in the UK.

Watercress Line
Enjoy a 10 mile ride on the restored steam trains of the Mid Hants railway. The line operates between the nearby Arlesford and Alton.

Marwell Zoological Park
Just 5 minutes from Colden Common, Marwell Zoo is home to over 200 species of animals and birds including snow leopards, tigers and rhino and is a fantastic day out for all the family.
For those who enjoy walking, our home is on the edge of the South Downs National Park and a stones throw from the New Forest. It is an ideal base for anyone who would like to discover this beautiful countryside. We are located near the Rivers Test and Itchen which offer fantastic chalk stream trout fishing and the surrounding area is home to many excellent quality equestrian centers offering a range of horse riding activities.
Eating Out
In addition to the wonderful variety of restaurants that Winchester has to offer, Colden Common also boasts its own culinary talent. Close to our home is Rimjhim, a restaurant serving authentic contemporary Indian cuisine. A 5 minute drive away is The Dog and Crook, a family run restaurant serving traditional English fayre. In the neighbouring village of Twyford (2 minute drive or 10 minute walk) you will find The Bugle, a comfortable gastropub, and Bean Below a small, cosy restaurant below the village post office. All offer superb menu choices.
